The challenge for Thump was not only to develop a Corporate Identity but to give us a name. No mean feat in a crowded market place where we wanted stand out. Furthermore as a new company they set us a very tight budget. So they are delighted with the result. We both surprised and thrilled from the get go, coming up with an original name Charlie Bravo.

The concept was based on “Whenever someone is asked for a postcode most people generally use the phonetic alphabet such as B as in Bravo, and for Cambridge postcodes CB that is Charlie Bravo. We also really like the personification because the company is all about a personal service and a friendly approach – that is its core competitive positioning.”

So name done, we then set about developing a great Corporate Identity which is very distinctive and self-evident as to the nature of our business. ”They have also designed and built the website and core collateral, so Well Done Thump!!! or should that be Whiskey Delta “(Jeremy Wager and the team).

Hot, Cold and now even Warmer
Thump had first developed the CoolerAid website over five years ago. CoolerAid is a supplier of bottled water and mains fed water coolers. The company has grown to become a the third largest player in the water beverage market. New product offerings of mains boilers and coffee machines have been introduced and blossomed as a significant part of the product portfolio.
It was certainly time to refresh the website to reflect the positioning of the company and communicate its extensive product range. CoolerAid is a prolific supporter of a charity called the LifeLine Fund and has donated over £3,000,0000.
Thump creative’s came up with an idea of HOT, COLD and WARM, the former relating to boilers and coolers and the latter the company’s philanthropic activities. The market is highly competitive so the website is direct in its sales approach, although due to CoolerAid’s pricing policy eCommerce could not be fully exploited. Competitor sites are much the same as each other so Thump created a unique site with use of video and animation software to deliver an experiential and interactive content.
Reliance Protect is a new brand named and developed by Thump for a servicing offering from Reliance High Tech Limited, targeted at protecting lone workers especially within vulnerable jobs such as NHS lone workers. The service that can either utilise existing smart phone, PDA or BlackBerry handsets or specialised lone worker devices that are supplied.

Thump created the brand Protect logo and visual theme imagery to support the prelaunch of the product/service offering. The positioning line “A lone worker is never alone” captures the essence of the service and underpinning technology. Three core images were shot re-launch Stephen Bond and art directed by Mallie Banadaranaike to reflect core audiences of the NHS working in community, public and private transport and more generally anyone who works alone in potentially vulnerable environments.

To date Thump have implemented the concept to a product brochure, POS posters, case studies for DHL and SEPT, stand alone graphics, Social Media, Twitter, Facebook and Linked in.

Service2 is a new car servicing company established just outside Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The company is a collaboration between two car sales organisation with disparate names and brands, so creating a unifying brand for the new offering was particularly challenging. In the end through numerous strategy reviews the fact that they now provided servicing as well as car sales the client agreed with our recommendations that sometimes simple is best and the fact is they now offering servicing in addition to car sales – hence service too. Graphically this was developed to Service2. Executions included site signage, stationery and a website www.servicetwo.co.uk
