Extranets and Intranets

An Extranet is a secure and private section of the Internet. Primarily, it is a system designed to share business information and/or operations for a community of 'shared' interests, such as trade customers or field operators.

Intranet websites look and act just like any other websites, but the firewall surrounding an intranet fends off unauthorised access. Like the Internet and Extranets, intranets are used to share information. Secure intranets are now the fastest growing segment of the Internet because they're much less expensive to build and manage than private networks based on proprietary protocols.

We are able to integrate Extranets and intranets with legacy systems to provide pertinent information and data. The nature of content can also be prioritised according to access levels. Access protocols and content management systems are readily integrated with this web-based tool.

Extranets and intranets can form a valuable part of knowledge management and CRM strategies.
