Gold - Recruitment and Training Management software
Gold is a program developed by Thump to manage the recruitment process of licensees to an estate of 1,400 pubs, hotels and inns. It was developed to satisfy the following requirements:
- Replacement of an existing system that no longer fulfilled the requirement
- Provision of a single, fully integrated management system for all recruitment functions, including integration with the website
- Integration with other Greene King systems - importing and exporting data from/to a number of other applications
The core areas of functionality include:
Site Vacancies - Vacancies, matching, site management, audit trail
Applications/ People - Match, create profiles, send letters and emails
Interviews - Book and manage interviews, record interview results, send letters
Training Courses - Manage training courses, booking, payment, course details
Website - Post vacancies, manage enquiries and applications; course booking calendar
Gold is made up of the following system components: a user interface running on each user's PC, written with MSVC++ 6.0, that uses MFC and is supported by an SQL server database. A mini program called Bullion imports and exports the data from/to other applications.
Within days of the system becoming live, operators were amazed by the increase in their productivity, with processes that would normally take days being managed in hours. The system has subsequently been developed for another division within Greene King - their managed houses.
